Vaccination of PPD Personnel under the Dog-Free Zone Program - PPA PMO Misamis Oriental / Cagayan de Oro

CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental (PMO MOC), in partnership with the City Health Office, successfully administered the first dose of the anti-rabies vaccine to 8 personnel from the Port Police Division on January 21, 2025, at the Animal Bite Treatment Center, City Health Office. The group was vaccinated as part of the PMO MOC’s ongoing Dog-Free Zone Program, designed to safeguard employees from rabies exposure and promote occupational safety and health (OSH) within the port area.

The anti-rabies vaccination program is a key component of the PMO’s Dog-Free Zone Program, which aims to minimize the presence of stray dogs within the port area. By reducing the risk of animal-borne diseases like rabies, the program creates a safer and healthier environment for PMO MOC personnel and the public.

The PMO MOC remains committed to implementing comprehensive health and safety programs aimed at promoting the well-being of its employees. The successful administration of the anti-rabies vaccine to the Port Police Division personnel is just one step in this ongoing effort, and future vaccination drives are expected to cover other personnel in the port area as needed.
