The Terminal Management Office of Camiguin provided light meals to passengers who were temporarily stranded at the Port of Benoni on early morning of 13 September 2019, due to the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Depression “Marilyn” that affects Northern Mindanao, among other areas across the country.

The provision of relief, as also being practiced in the Ports of Cagayan de Oro and Balingoan both under the jurisdiction of the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro, is part of the “Malasakit” campaign of the Philippine Ports Authority. The Authority puts premium on the security, safety, and convenience of the passengers especially during cancelled and/or delayed trips.

The vessel trips for Balingoan-Benoni route and vice-versa resumed at 12:00 noon of even date, after the Philippine Coast Guard gave its clearance.
