The Port Management of Misamis Oriental Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) conducted a successful New Year’s Toast on January 8, 2024, at Gad Hall Building II. This event marked the beginning of a new year and the commencement of strategic direction planning for the entire year ahead.

The Strategic Direction Planning Meeting aimed to set the tone for the year, align targets, ensure the implementation of enrolled commitments/PAPs in the OPCR, and monitor their progress, all while harmonizing with the overall PPA Strategic Direction. Additionally, the meeting sought to identify and address pertinent issues and concerns of the Regional Committees/Office of Port Representatives (RCs/OPR).

This year’s mantra for the New Year’s Toast is “LOOKING BACK and MOVING FORWARD”. Distinguished Division Managers and Terminal Managers shared their message, reflecting on past accomplishments and outlining aspirations for the future. Delving into the core of the meeting, the strategic roadmap for the year and the specific focus areas for each Division were discussed. This allowed for a comprehensive understanding of the overarching goals and the targeted approach towards achieving them.

To streamline internal processes and enhance collaboration, the discussion included proposals for the composition and designation of members for various committees. This step aimed to strengthen the organizational structure and improve coordination among different units. The floor was open for discussions on any other matters deemed relevant to the strategic direction and efficient operation of PMO MOC.

As the Port Management of Misamis Oriental Cagayan de Oro sets sail into 2024, the Strategic Direction Planning Meeting laid a solid foundation for a year filled with strategic growth, operational excellence, and collaborative success.
