The Philippine Ports Authority – PMO Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PPA PMO MO/C) actively participated in the 1 Million Tables Initiative as part of the Earth Month 2026 celebration, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability, environmental awareness, and stakeholder engagement.

The 1 Million Tables Initiative is a global movement that encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to come together and share plant-based meals as a simple yet impactful way of promoting sustainable living. By choosing plant-based food, participants help reduce carbon emissions, conserve natural resources, and raise awareness about the environmental impact of food consumption, demonstrating that meaningful change can begin at the table.

In support of the initiative, PPA PMO MO/C personnel shared and enjoyed plant-based meals within the workplace, demonstrating how simple, collective actions can help reduce environmental impact. The activity was further strengthened by the participation of Terminal Management Office of Opol, fostering collaboration and a shared sense of responsibility across offices.

Through this meaningful engagement, PPA PMO MO/C reinforced its dedication to environmental advocacy while strengthening unity and morale among its personnel. Despite requiring minimal resources, the initiative delivered high-impact results by raising awareness and cultivating stronger connections with stakeholders and the community.
