In line with the Philippine Ports Authority’s continuing commitment to civic engagement, nation-building, and support to local government initiatives, the personnel of Port Management Office (PMO) Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (MOC) actively participated in the 128th Philippine Independence Day commemoration and the 76th Charter Day Celebration of Cagayan de Oro City held on 12th and 15th of June 2026.
A total of 11 Regular and Contract of Service (COS) employees joined the Philippine Independence Day Flag-Raising and Wreath-Laying Ceremony on June 12 at Kiosko Kagawasan, Plaza Divisoria. Alongside representatives from various government agencies, uniformed services, and stakeholders, PMO MOC personnel took part in the solemn rites honoring the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino forebears in the struggle for the nation’s freedom.
On June 15, 10 Regular and COS employees likewise participated in the 76th Charter Day Celebration of Cagayan de Oro City at Bonifacio Park, Plaza Divisoria. The event featured the City Mayor’s Annual Report, highlighting the city government’s accomplishments, ongoing programs, and development initiatives.
The participation of PMO MOC personnel in both commemorative activities highlighted the agency’s support for national and local government initiatives, while reaffirming its commitment to patriotism, public service, institutional cooperation, and community development.
