The cargo handling operators and other port users at the Ports of Cagayan de Oro and Balingoan will expect upward adjustment in cargo handling (CH) tariff, as the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) released PPA Board Resolutions approving the same effective 18 November 2019.
The PPA Board of Directors had approved a seven percent (7%) CH tariff increase for the Port of Cagayan de Oro per PPA Board Resolution No. 2845, and a ten percent (10%) for the Port of Balingoan per PPA Board Resolution No. 2846.
As both ports are under the jurisdiction of the Port Management Office of Misamis Orienta/Cagayan de Oro, the PMO promptly issued its own Memorandum Circular (MC No. 016-2019) to all Division/TMO managers, CHOs, cargo owners/brokers/shipping lines, and other port users concerned for their information, guidance, and compliance.
Copies of the revised schedule of the CH tariffs are available on the PMO MO/C website.
