The Port of Balbagon is located in the eastern part of the Municipality of Mambajao, Camiguin Island at Latitude 9º 14’ 37’’ North and Longitude 124º 44’ 15’’ East.

It caters to domestic vessels and handles rolling cargoes, bottled and general cargoes. With the extended Ro-Ro ramp and the new PTB, the port can already accommodate larger vessels, one Ro-Ro, and one conventional vessel at any given time. It has a regular direct voyage to the Port of Jagna in Bohol which sails thrice a week.

As part of the Strong Republic Nautical Highway (SRNH), the Port of Balbagon has regular direct voyage to the Port of Jagna in Bohol. This route allows businessmen, tourists, and travelers to travel to and from Bohol, thereby facilitating trade, commerce, and tourism for both Camiguin and Bohol Province.
 
For intensified port security, twenty-three (23) surveillance cameras were installed around the ports. The surveillance system is closely monitored by Beyondsight Philippines, Inc. for any incident/accident including observation on the compliance with the minimum public health standards by the port users. Incident reports are promptly relayed to the Port Management Office in Cagayan de Oro for appropriate action.

The Port of Balbagon has the following port facilities: a 44 m. Reinforced Concrete (RC) pier, two (2) concrete Ro-Ro ramps, a Passenger Terminal Building, Terminal Office, open storage area, warehouse, covered pedestrian walkway, and port lighting system, among others.

Cargo handling operations is being handled by the Balbagon Arrastre, Stevedoring and Porterage Services (BASPS). To date, the Asian Marine Transport Corporation regularly calls at the port.
