BALINGOAN — In an effort to enhance security protocols and reinforce inter-agency collaboration, PNP Balingoan Municipal Police Station Chief of Police PMaj. Ron Baba visited the Port of Balingoan today, offering valuable insights and guidance to security personnel on the proper handling of drug interceptions on February 05, 2025.
During his visit, PMaj. Baba underscored the importance of vigilance, coordination, and strict adherence to standard operating procedures in addressing potential drug-related threats. This initiative comes in response to two recent drug interception incidents at the port in January 2025. The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) fully supports the PNPโs firm stance against illegal drugs, aligning with the national governmentโs ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and bolster security at critical transit points.
By strengthening security measures and fostering closer collaboration among agencies, the Port of Balingoan is expected to enhance its ability to detect and intercept illegal substances, ultimately preventing criminal activities that pose a threat to public safety.
