The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro concluded another productive and successful year with a Coachella-themed Year-end Honoring and Thanksgiving Party on 20 December 2018 in Mallberry Suites Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City.
After the recap of the significant achievements and milestones for PMO MOC for 2018 through an audio-visual presentation, plaques of recognition and appreciation were conferred to employees who showed exemplary performance at work. “We were exceedingly productive this year,” Port Manager Isidro V. Butaslac, Jr. remarked during his short opening message. He added that PMO MOC looks forward to a more prosperous and blessed 2019.
Personnel who also excelled in music such as for the 12- member PMO MOC Choral Group who won first runner-up in the Himig Pasko Choral Competition in PPA nationwide was also given recognition, together with their conductor, Mr. Jacky B. Baja. Special awards were also given that night for standout outfits (male, female, and for couple) and the stage performances. The winners for the Christmas Tree Making Contest within PMO MOC were also announced in the event.
After the awarding ceremony, the personnel, grouped by management divisions, showcased their variety of talents. The interns also presented a unique and fancy Christmas dance performance in their cute reindeer antlers headbands. — By IMR Lam
