The official recognition of the Second Batch of Members of the Region X Pool of Gender and Development Resource Persons (RPGRP) was successfully conducted on June 11, 2026, at the Commission on Population and Development – Region X (CPD-X) Office, Cagayan de Oro City. Among the recognized members was Daisy Tangcalagan, Division Manager A of the Administrative Division of the Port Management Office (PMO) of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (MOC).

The RPGRP is composed of accredited resource persons from various government agencies and sectors who specialize in Gender and Development (GAD)-related topics. The establishment of the second batch was initiated to address the need for a broader pool of certified GAD resource persons in Northern Mindanao, following the creation of the region’s initial pool of GAD experts in 2022.

Accreditation of the newly recognized members underwent a rigorous assessment process, including document evaluation, preliminary examination, leveling sessions, final written examination, and return demonstration. The recognition of the second batch was formally endorsed by the Regional Development Council (RDC) during its Full Council Meeting through the approval of RDC-X Resolution No. 136, s. 2025, entitled “Approving the Second Batch of Members of the Region X Pool of Gender and Development Resource Persons and the Corresponding Period of Certification.”

The ceremonial program was led by Director Neil Aldrin G. Omega, Chairperson of the RDC-X Regional Gender and Development Committee (RGADC) and Regional Director of CPD-X, who formally conferred recognition upon the newly accredited members, further strengthening the region’s capacity to advance and promote Gender and Development initiatives.
