PMO MOC’s nine (9) personnel, together with other personnel from PMO Ozamis, Zamboanga, Socksargen, and Davao participated in the 3-days General Orientation and Awareness on International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015, 14001:2015, and 45001:2018 at PMO Davao Training Center from May 28 to 30, 2024, with its objectives to know the essential requirements of the ISOs; key steps and common barriers in IMS implementation; and the principles, its risks and opportunities in managing audit program.

 

Dr. Jovertlee C. Pudan, EnP, a Senior Management Consultant of JBDC Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Consultancy comprehensively discussed six (6) modules: History of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018; Key Quality, Environment, Health and Safety Concepts and Terms (QESH); Comprehending the Requirements of the ISOs; Integrated Management System (IMS) Establishment, Implementation, Certification, and Improvement; Overcoming Obstacles and Challenges; and Benefits of an ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 certified Organization.

 

The ISO is a global organization that creates and publishes voluntary international standards for various products, services, processes, and systems. These standards are intended to ensure quality, safety, efficiency, and interoperability across a variety of businesses and sectors globally. ISO standards address a wide range of issues, including quality management, environmental management, information security, food safety, and many others. PMO MOC opt to follow ISO standards to show its commitment to best practices and continual improvement.

 

In 2023, PMO MOC was recertified with the above-mentioned ISOs with Zero Nonconformity by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. The PMO MOC’s recertification is a major accomplishment that highlights its unwavering dedication to excellence in quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management.

 

With the enhanced knowledge, the PMO MOC personnel will undoubtedy increase the PMO MOC’s chances at continual improvement and in maintaining ISO certification. They can assist in making sure the PMO MOC keeps up with global best practices, increase productivity, improve the caliber of its output, and satisfy the client’s expectations.
