The Port Management of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) successfully conducted the latest edition of its flagship program, 𝙆𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙋𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙈𝙊𝘾, at the Port Terminal Building on November 27, 2024. This event aimed at fostering collaboration and engagement among stakeholders, marked a continued effort to enhance port operations, safety, and environmental sustainability under the leadership of 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨 𝐁. 𝐌𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐨 𝐉𝐫.

Previously known as Kapehan sa BDMO, the Kapehan sa Pantalan MOC was established in 2022 as part of the Port Management’s commitment to strengthening compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS) and aligning port stakeholders with the Philippine Ports Authority’s (PPA) standards on quality, safety, and environmental management.

The event featured informative presentations covering various aspects of port operations, including Safety and Health Updates, Environmental Updates, Finance Updates, Access Control and Security Updates, and compliance with PPA requirements. These presentations gave stakeholders important insights into the port’s ongoing initiatives and regulatory obligations, ensuring that all parties involved remain informed and aligned with industry standards.

A key part of the event was the open forum, where stakeholders had the opportunity to raise concerns and ask questions regarding the new management. He addressed some concerns and shared his vision for the future of the port. His leadership and the port’s direction were central themes in the discussions, emphasizing transparency, communication, and the importance of collaboration between PMO MOC and its stakeholders.

The success of the Kapehan sa Pantalan MOC on November 27, 2024, demonstrates the PMO MOC’s ongoing commitment to improving port operations through active stakeholder engagement and adherence to the highest standards of safety, quality, and environmental management.
