Cagayan de Oro City | As PMO MOC continues its commitment in preserving and protecting the maritime and coastal environment, the PMO MOC conducted an Annual Water Quality Test at the Port of Balingoan Terminal Management Office (TMO) on December 29 2023. The said test was conducted by Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (DENR) recognized Aeronics Laboratory Technician and assisted by PMO MOC personnel: Mr. Alejandro Carreon (Civil Security Officer), Mr. Edsel Calo (Balingoan’s Terminal Manager), and Ms. Core Suan, (Environmental Specialist) .the parameters are: temperature, pH, BOD, TSS, nitrate, oil, and grease.
The Annual Coastal Water Test is carried out to efficiently monitor, treat, and lessen the dangers and causes of the degradation of the marine and coastal ecosystems. Maintaining a well-preserved and protected maritime and coastal environment is a difficult task, but PMO MOC is adamant that working together will lead to a brighter, healthier, and more resilient future for coastal and maritime communities.
