In celebration of the PPA PMO MO/C’s 49th Anniversary and 2024 Earth Day, the PPA PMO MO/C personnel, headed by Port Services Division Manager, Ms. Ruby Maria O. Gumapon participates in a benchmarking activity at Shell Pilipinas Corporations’ North Mindanao Import Facility (NMIF) on April 17, 2024, 10:00AM at the NMIF, Shell Pilipinas Corporations’ Office, Corrales Extension, Barangay Puntod, Cagayan de Oro City. A total of 15 PMO MO/C personnel attended the said activity, and another batch of 15 PMO MO/C personnel will also participate the same activity this week, April 26, 2024.

A Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Best Practices was presented by NMIF’s Operations Manager, Mr. Rommel Guevarra and followed by an Overview of the Eco-Brick Hub and discussion on the Supply Power during Power Outrages. A tour inside the NMIF also commenced showing the Generator Set Power Supply, Steel Tanks, and among others.

As a a renowned provider of power, energy, and gas technology, the SPC’s NMIF continues to contributes to greater security of power and energy supply in Visayas and Mindanao region by providing additional storage capacity of completed petroleum products and a new source point for fuel supply that meets the needs and demands of nearby depots and consumers. Aside from being a provider, the NMIF also makes sure to adhere to its commitment to be responsible and work for a sustainable future.

With that continues commitment, SPC’s Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) has started with its Eco-Brick Hub named, “Shell LiveWire Eco-Brick Hub at Barangay Macabalan in partnership with Green Antz, which solely aims to reduce uncontrollable wastes. One Eco-Brick is made of 100pcs of plastic laminates.

Further, the PMO MO/C has collected three (3) kilos of laminates and turned it over for Eco-Bricks. The PPA PMO MO/C stands united with SPC and the community, and will continue with its collection of wastes in support of a more sustainable future that is expected to drive economic advancement.
