In celebration of the 49th Anniversary of PMO MOC on April 15, 2024, a heartwarming initiative was launched to provide assistance to stranded passengers: the PPA Lugaw Mobile Station. This thoughtful endeavor aimed not only to provide sustenance but also to spread warmth and comfort to those in need, reflecting the spirit of compassion and community that defines the occasion. This is also in line with PPA Head Office Mandate in providing assistance to stranded passengers.

The event took place at Building 2 Gad Hall, where employees gathered to witness the unveiling of the Lugaw Mobile Station. Employees had the opportunity to partake in this simple yet nourishing meal, savoring each spoonful of the comforting rice porridge.

Following its debut, the Lugaw Mobile Station was relocated to the Passenger Terminal Building, where a queue of passengers eagerly awaited their turn to receive a hearty serving of hot and delicious lugaw, offered completely free of charge. The sight of individuals lining up, their faces lighting up with gratitude as they received their meals, epitomized the essence of generosity and solidarity.

In addition to the warm lugaw, candies were also distributed, adding a touch of sweetness to the occasion. But the generosity didn’t stop there. The Terminal Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro in Balingoan and Camiguin also extended their heartfelt appreciation to passengers, especially the young and the elderly.

Children passengers were treated to an array of sweet delights, including candies, biscuits, and fruit juice. Meanwhile, senior citizens and clearing officers were provided with free cold bottled water, a small token of gratitude for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions to the TMO’s success.
