The Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PPA PMO MOC) personnel participated in the 2026 Maritime Week Bloodletting Activity held at Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City, on September 22, 2026. Hosted by the Maritime Industry Authority Regional Office X (MARINA-X) in coordination with the Philippine Red Cross, the activity was conducted as part of the Maritime Week celebration and to help support the local blood supply.

PMO MOC personnel who were qualified to donate, donated 450 milliliters of blood each, providing a total of 2,250 milliliters.

The bloodletting activity was attended by personnel from the maritime sector and other participating stakeholders. The donated blood will form part of the Philippine Red Cross blood supply for patients who may need transfusion due to illness, surgery, accidents, and other emergencies.

The participation of PMO MOC personnel in the activity demonstrates PPA’s support for humanitarian activities and its commitment to community service as part of the annual Maritime Week celebration.
