The Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MO/C) welcomed the delegation from PMO Misamis Occidental/Ozamiz, headed by Port Manager Salvador L. Delina, on 13 August 2026 for an Observation and Benchmarking Activity aimed at sharing best practices and strengthening operational efficiency. The activity was conducted upon the request of PMO Misamis Occidental/Ozamiz as part of its continuing efforts toward process improvement and digital transformation.

The activity focused on PMO MO/C’s Communication Process Flow and digitalization practices, as well as the operational procedures of the Finance Division, particularly practices that support efficient financial management and service delivery.

During the activity, PMO MO/C Port Manager Fernando B. Mapalo, Jr. welcomed the visiting delegation and delivered a message highlighting the importance of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of best practices among PPA offices in continuously improving organizational processes and public service delivery.

The benchmarking proper featured an audio-visual presentation on the Communication Process Flow, followed by an open forum where participants exchanged insights and experiences. The Finance Division likewise presented its operational procedures through a hands-on observation, providing the visiting delegation with a practical understanding of the processes being implemented by PMO MO/C. The activity concluded with a tour of the port facilities.

Through initiatives such as this, PMO MO/C continues to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the Philippine Ports Authority toward more efficient, responsive, and service-oriented port operations.
