On August 21, 2025, the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) continued the 26th National Maritime Week celebration with the conduct of Scubasurero, an environmental protection initiative focused on cleaning underwater and coastal areas. The activity gathered divers, volunteers, and port personnel who worked hand-in-hand in collecting marine debris, underscoring the shared responsibility of keeping the seas clean and healthy.

The Scubasurero activity emphasized the importance of protecting marine ecosystems from pollution, raising awareness on the impacts of waste on ocean health and the livelihoods dependent on it. It also served as a strong reminder of this year’s theme, “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity,” by turning advocacy into concrete action.

Alongside this initiative, the Friendship Games continued, promoting camaraderie and unity among employees. With its blend of environmental stewardship and teamwork, Day 4 successfully showcased PMO MOC’s commitment to both community engagement and sustainable maritime practices.
