The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) participated in the Ceremonial Signing of the Relief Prepositioning Agreement held on November 25, 2025, at the Regional Director’s Lounge of the DSWD Regional Office in Upper Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City.
The event, hosted by the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office X (DSWD-X), gathered key officials from the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) to strengthen the partnership in ensuring timely and efficient giving of relief goods, particularly during emergencies and calamities.
The program opened with a video presentation prayer followed by the acknowledgment of guests led by Master of Ceremonies Shaira S. Agulan. In his welcome remarks, Ramel F. Jamen, SAS and OIC-Regional Director of DSWD-X, emphasized the agency’s continuing commitment to improving disaster response mechanisms and its appreciation for partner-institutions like the PPA that play crucial roles in logistics and rapid mobilization.
An overview of the agreement was presented by Arnel Q. Cabanao, Regional Resource Operations Section Head of DSWD-X, who explained the significance of prepositioned goods and the importance of inter-agency collaboration to ensure readiness in times of crisis.A Message of Support was delivered by representatives of Port Management Offices from across Northern Mindanao.
The highlight of the event was the Ceremonial Signing of the Agreement between DSWD-X and PPA-PMOs, symbolizing shared responsibility and strengthened coordination in disaster preparedness. Through this partnership, PMO MOC continues to uphold its commitment to public service by supporting proactive, sustainable, and community-centered initiatives that enhance disaster readiness and ensure the welfare of Northern Mindanao communities.
