The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) actively participated in two meaningful events on September 7, 2025, highlighting both health and social responsibility.

In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), PMO MOC employees joined the Fun Run held at Rio de Oro Boulevard. The activity was organized to promote wellness, camaraderie, and a healthy lifestyle among government workers, strengthening the values of unity, service, and commitment to public service.

On the same day, the office also extended its support to the Solidarity Walk for Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, spearheaded by the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) – Psychosocial Unit. The walk, which gathered participants from various organizations, started at Rodelsa Circle and concluded at the Kiosko Kagawasan Monument. The event served as a platform to raise awareness on suicide prevention, spread hope, and emphasize the importance of access to mental health resources.

Through their involvement in both activities, PMO MOC underscored its dedication not only to employee wellness but also to advocating mental health and community solidarity. By participating, the office reflected its dual commitment to the civil service’s call for a healthy, active workforce and to the wider movement of promoting compassion, awareness, and support for individuals affected by mental health challenges.
