The Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PPA PMO MOC) successfully conducted the Pre-Construction Meeting for Batch 1 Small Value Procurement (SVP) Projects within the PMO today, June 04, 2025.

With the full presence of Engineering Services Division (ESD) personnel and contractors, the meeting focused on a thorough discussion of Batch 1 SVP Projects, covering the entire PMO, including key initiatives such as the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and Bollard repainting and renumbering in various port areas. It also served as a vital coordination platform to ensure smooth collaboration throughout the project, from implementation to completion.

Project Engineers from the PMO have been assigned to monitor progress and ensure compliance with timelines and standards. Safety protocols were also emphasized through a detailed briefing by the Chief Safety Officer, while environmental awareness efforts like the ClayGo (Clean As You Go) initiative were shared by the Environmental Specialist.

The meeting was productive and well-aligned, with both PMO representatives and contractors sharing the same direction and commitment toward enhancing port facilities. This activity reflects the management’s continuing drive to fast-track port-related improvement projects for the year 2025, ensuring sustainability, efficiency, admirability, and safety across all ongoing and upcoming works.
