In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) – the Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC), conducted a bloodletting activity today, May 7, 2025, as part of its commitment to community service and humanitarian efforts beyond port operations. Held in collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross – Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro Chapter, the event drew active participation from the PMO MOC employees, porters, and security personnel.

A total of 29 individuals successfully donated blood, each contributing to the vital effort of maintaining a stable and accessible blood supply. The activity began with the initial screening conducted by Ms. Dinah Salarda, Donor Recruitment Officer, followed by the final assessment by Dr. Mark Joy Bombeo, who also provided a brief introduction to the importance of voluntary blood donation. The blood retrieval process was efficiently handled by four trained phlebotomists, ensuring the safety and comfort of each donor throughout the procedure.

This initiative highlights PMO MOC’s ongoing dedication to meaningful public service and health advocacy. As PPA marks its 50th year, activities like these serve as a testament to how service, compassion, and responsibility remain at the heart of the organization’s legacy.
