The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) formally opened the 2025 National Maritime Week celebration on August 18, 2025, aligning with the nationwide observance that carries the theme “Our Ocean, Our Obligation, Our Opportunity.”
The kick-off program, held at the PMO MOC GAD Hall, began with a Holy Mass followed by the official opening message of the Port Manager. Messages of support were also delivered by the OIC of MARINA Region 10, and the Deputy Commander of the CGDNM PCG. Intermission performances were also given by the PMO MOC Dancers and PMO Tanghalan sa Pantalan Champion.
PMO MOC has prepared a series of activities from August 18 to 22 including Zumba, Maritime Forum, Poster-Making Contest, Simulation Exercise, Kapihan sa Pantalan, Scubasurero, and a Maritime Environmental Protection Information Drive. Friendship Games and wellness activities will also take place throughout the week, reflecting the office’s commitment to maritime excellence, environmental care, and community service.
Through these activities, PMO MOC affirms its commitment to the SEA principle—Service, Efficiency, and Accountability—as it continues to play a key role in sustaining the maritime sector and serving as a vital partner in economic development.
