The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) was once again recognized as a Bayani ng Batang Malaya Awardee during the Mga Kwento ng Batang Malaya (DOLEkula) Season 5 Awarding Ceremony held on September 9, 2025, at Celadon Pensione House, Palao, Iligan City.

This recurring honor, conferred by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region X, underscores the enduring partnership between DOLE and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) in the collective fight against child labor. Through the regular showing of DOLEkula films at the Macabalan Seaport Passenger Terminal, PMO MOC has consistently demonstrated its commitment to raising awareness, inspiring public engagement, and advancing the protection of children’s rights in Northern Mindanao.

The recognition highlights how PPA and DOLE have remained steadfast allies in strengthening advocacy for child protection, with PMO MOC at the forefront of local efforts.
