In celebration of the 2025 National Maritime Week, the Port Management Office–Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MO/C), with its 33 dedicated personnel actively participated in a Tree Planting Activity on September 26, 2025. The event was organized in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-PENRO) and was made more meaningful with the support of co-volunteers from Oroport Cargohandling Services, Inc., MARINA, Macabalan Port Shippers Association (MPSA), and Vital Water Waste Management Services. The activity commenced at 7:00 AM, which underscored the collective effort of different organizations in championing sustainability and environmental preservation.

Together with volunteers from partner agencies and organizations, a total of 200 narra seedlings were successfully planted. More than just planting trees, this activity serves as a reminder that we must adopt a mindset of nurturing and growing them, turning a simple act into a lasting commitment to the environment.

Through this endeavor, PMO MO/C demonstrated its continuous dedication to advancing not just maritime excellence but also ecological sustainability. By engaging in activities that promote environmental protection, the office strengthened its collaboration with government partners and private stakeholders, while also inspiring its personnel to actively contribute to community and environmental initiatives.
