PMO Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro Joined the Turn-Over and Change of Command Ceremony of Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao
The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) had the honor of witnessing a momentous occasion in the maritime community with the Philippine Coast Guard’s (PCG) Turn-Over and Change of Command Ceremony held on May 16, 2025, at GAD Hall Building 2. The formal event marked the official passing of command and leadership within the Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao presided by the Deputy Commandant for Operations VADM Edgar L Ybañez.
The event formally marked the turnover of command by CAPT CHRISTIE C. CABUYABAN, PCG, Deputy Commander, Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao, and the assumption of command by COMMO DENNIS REM C. LABAY, PCG, Acting Commander, Coast Guard District Northern Mindanao. The ceremony served not only as a formal transition of leadership but also as a reaffirmation of the enduring commitment of the Philippine Coast Guard to uphold maritime safety, port security, and environmental protection in the region.
