The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MO/C) successfully hosted a benchmarking activity for PMO Lanao del Norte/Iligan on July 22, 2025, at the GAD Hall, Admin Building 2, Port of Cagayan de Oro.

During the visit, participating personnel from PMO Lanao del Norte/Iligan were given the opportunity to engage in hands-on and one-on-one sessions with their counterparts across various divisions of PMO MOC. These personalized interactions enabled detailed discussions and direct exposure to the established strategies, innovative practices, and process improvements implemented by PMO MOC in alignment with IMS standards.

The immersive learning experience was structured to cover critical operational areas, including quality management, environmental sustainability, occupational safety and health, port security, and administrative efficiency. Each delegate was assigned to specific offices, ensuring that knowledge exchange was targeted and context specific.

PMO MOC, recognized for its robust implementation of IMS, GPAS and its commitment to continuous improvement, generously shared its documentation practices, risk-based planning strategies, corrective action processes, internal audit methodologies, and employee engagement initiatives. This collaborative exchange demonstrated the Port’s guiding principles of Sustainability, Efficiency, and Admirability (SEA) in action.

The shared commitment to service excellence and port development marked the event as a significant step forward in fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the Philippine Ports Authority.
