The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) successfully conducts the 2nd Batch of the 2025 Wellness Team Building and Program in the islands of Siquijor and Dumaguete from June 12-15, 2025. In four days, the PMO brought together colleagues from various divisions for a memorable blend of connection, adventure, and self-reflection.
All participants of the 2nd Batch had an early 4:00 AM departure from the PMO , and journeyed all the way to the Municipality of Plaridel just in time for the 12:00 NN sea travel to Siquijor, After a scenic 6-hour travel by sea, the team arrived and settled in at Sonnylyn Guest House. The evening kicked off with a wellness webinar on “Emotional Well-Being”, led by resource speaker Mary Therese C. Lasanas, RPm. The insightful session was followed by group activities activities like Reverse Charades and The Boat is Sinking, fostering laughter, entertainment, and friendly competition. The evening was filled with anticipation and excitement for the adventures to come.
The following day, participants were split into 2 teams, each eager to experience and explore the wonders of Siquijor. For an adrenaline-filled exploration, Team A hiked to Cambugahay Falls and took part in the popular Fairy Walk. Meanwhile, Team B, opting for a more relaxed pace, ventured to Capilay Spring and spent quiet moments at the Our Lady of Providence Church. Both teams later reunited at Salogdoong and Paliton Beaches, enjoying the sun and the island’s white sands. Despite an evening downpour, the Hawaiian-themed party at Siquijor Sunset Glamping Village brought warmth and joy, with music and heartfelt conversations deepening connections.
On the 3rd Day, the group immersed themselves in Siquijor’s cultural and natural heritage, visiting historic churches and sites such as the iconic Enchanted Balete Tree. Later, they traveled to Dumaguete, and was warmly welcomed by Port Services Division Manager Mary Louise C. Macalino for a benchmarking visit that reviewed the facilities, activities, and best practices of PMO Negros Oriental/Siquijor. Later, the evening was spent touring Dumaguete’s charming sites and savoring local cuisines, awaiting for the 1AM trip back home.
