The final inspection for two vital infrastructure projects at the Port of Cagayan de Oro was successfully conducted on 08 April 2025. These projects include the “Supply of Materials, Labor, and Equipment for the Rehabilitation of Building 1, Port of CDO” and the “Supply of Materials, Labor, and Equipment for the Maintenance of PWD Facilities at the Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) and Amenity Building, Port of Cagayan de Oro.”
The inspection team, composed of representatives from the Engineering Services Division, Port Services Division, OPM Staff, and contractor personnel, evaluated the quality of work, in compliance with project specifications, and overall completion status.
The rehabilitation of Building 1 is part of PPA’s ongoing efforts to ensure operational efficiency and safety to the port users. Meanwhile, the maintenance of facilities for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) at the PTB and Amenity Building underscores the agency’s commitment to providing inclusive and accessible infrastructure for all port users.
Both projects are expected to contribute significantly to the port’s functionality and the comfort and convenience of passengers and stakeholders. Pending final documentation and turnover procedures, the facilities will soon be fully operational.
