In celebration of the 124th Civil Service Anniversary, the Philippine Ports Authority – Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PPA PMO MO/C) successfully conducted Serbisyo Caravan Year 2, bringing essential services, assistance, and meaningful community support closer to porters, portworkers, and their families.
Building on the success of its inaugural rollout, this year’s Serbisyo Caravan expanded its reach through a strengthened multi-sectoral partnership, highlighting the shared commitment of government, private-sector partners, and socio-civic organizations to promote accessible and responsive public service.
The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of PPA PMO MO/C, OROPORT Inc., and the Rotary Clubs of Cagayan de Oro Centerpoint, Golden Friendship, and Uptown CDO, whose collective support helped provide a range of free services and activities for the beneficiaries.
Throughout the day, portworkers and their families availed themselves of free dental check-ups and treatments, professional legal consultation through Tambag Legal, and complimentary haircuts. The activity also provided practical assistance and moments of enjoyment for the beneficiaries through the distribution of sweatshirts, lunch box and tumbler sets, ice cream, and local food provisions.
The successful conduct of the activity reflects the PPA PMO MO/C’s continuing commitment to responsive public service, employee and community welfare, and stronger partnerships with stakeholders. As the Civil Service celebrates another year of dedicated service to the Filipino people, the Serbisyo Caravan underscores the value of compassion, collaboration, and service that goes beyond the workplace.
