The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) PMO – Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro celebrated its 51st Anniversary on April 14–15, 2026, under the theme “Anchored in Excellence at 51: Navigating Towards a Stronger Future.” The two-day event balanced operational upgrades with community spirit, beginning with a series of orientations for staff on a new Customer Queuing System designed to streamline port transactions and enhance the overall stakeholder experience.
The main festivities on April 15 opened with a Eucharistic Mass and a keynote address from the Port Manager. The morning featured the official launch of the Customer Management System’s Queuing Module and the recognition of long-serving employees through the Loyalty Awards. Beyond internal celebrations, the PMO shared the milestone with the public by distributing free ice cream, coffee, and umbrellas to lucky customers, showcasing the agency’s commitment to hospitable and student-centered service.
The celebration concluded with a focus on employee wellness through the launching of a new Pickleball Court and an Inter-Division exhibition game. By combining technological advancements with employee recognition and community outreach, the PMO-MO/C reinforced its position as a forward-thinking maritime leader. This 51st milestone marks a renewed dedication to excellence, ensuring the port remains a vital and vibrant gateway for the years to come.
