The Port Management Office–Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO–MOC) actively participated in the Clean Air Action Fair Activity through a Forum on Air Quality Initiatives, Best Practices, and Booth Exhibits held on November 10, 2025, at the Limketkai Mall Event Center, Cagayan de Oro City. The event was facilitated by the Environmental Management Bureau–Region 10 (EMB-X), in partnership with the Metro Cagayan de Oro Airshed Governing Board (MCA-AGB), in celebration of Clean Air Month.
During the program, the PMO MOC was honored with a Plaque of Recognition in acknowledgment of its notable efforts in promoting tree-growing activities pursuant to PPA Administrative Order No. 14-2020. This commendation underscores the Port’s commitment to environmental stewardship and its significant contribution to carbon sequestration and climate resilience through continuous and meaningful greening initiatives.
The program formally opened with the registration of participants, followed by an inspirational message from Regional Director Reynaldo S. Digamo of EMB-X. This was succeeded by the ceremonial ribbon cutting and signing on the pledge wall, symbolizing the collective commitment of stakeholders to uphold clean air and environmental protection. The event continued with a series of presentations on local air quality initiatives and best practices, showcasing the efforts of various agencies and organizations in promoting sustainable environmental management. The program concluded with an open forum and the awarding of plaques and certificates of appreciation to participating institutions and partners, including the recognition bestowed upon PPA PMO–MOC.
Through its active participation, PPA PMO–MOC emphasizes its commitment to promoting environmental awareness and supporting initiatives for cleaner air and a healthier community. The activity highlighted collective efforts toward sustainable air quality management and innovative practices for a greener, more climate-resilient port community.
