Cagayan de Oro City— The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO-MOC), under the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), has reinforced its partnership with Local Government Units (LGUs) through a recent coordination meeting aimed at ensuring smoother mobility and enhanced public safety around the port vicinity on September 30, 2025.

The discussions centered on collaborative initiatives to decongest traffic and improve road access leading to and from the port. These joint efforts are expected to ease the flow of vehicles, especially in areas near the Agora Market and transport terminals, ultimately benefiting commuters, port users, and businesses relying on efficient cargo movement.

In line with these measures, PMO-MOC and the LGUs also agreed to strengthen security and safety protocols in surrounding communities, particularly around the footbridge areas to safeguard children and families residing near the port zone.
