Cagayan de Oro City — The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) proudly joined the City Government of Cagayan de Oro in commemorating the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan on April 9, 2025, at the Community Amphitheater.

With this year’s theme, “Kabayanihan ng Beterano: Sandigan ng Kaunlaran ng Bagong Pilipinas”, the celebration paid tribute to the bravery and heroism of Filipino veterans, whose sacrifices laid the foundation for the country’s freedom and progress.

Representatives from PMO MOC participated in the mass wreath-laying ceremony alongside various government agencies, organizations, and civic groups. Adhering to the solemn wreath-laying mechanics, the delegation respectfully offered a floral tribute, symbolizing their deep appreciation for the veterans’ courage and legacy.

The event commenced at 6:30 AM, beginning with the assembly of participants. Highlights of the program included the Philippine National Anthem and a 21-gun salute rendered by the 4th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army. The Cagayan de Oro City Chorale also graced the event with musical renditions that added solemnity and pride to the occasion.
