The Port Management Office of Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro (PMO MOC) has once again affirmed its strong commitment to quality, environmental sustainability, and occupational health and safety after successfully passing its Recertification Audit with no minor or major Non-Conformities (NCs).
The Recertification Audit was conducted on the 23rd of February 2026, by the NQA Audit Team, led by Mr. Rannie Bernardino, together with auditors Ms. Thesz Bernardino and Ms. Rhoda Vi Demesa. Throughout the audit, key operational and administrative areas were examined, including leadership engagement, organizational context, risk planning, performance evaluation, document and records control, internal audit systems, corrective action processes, human resource management and training, purchasing and control of external providers, maintenance and calibration procedures, motorpool and general services, vessel entrance clearance, cargo withdrawal and entry processes, environmental compliance, emergency preparedness and response, safety and health planning, hazard identification and risk assessment, monitoring and measurement, and incident investigation procedures.
The auditors confirmed that the management systems of PMO Misamis Oriental/Cagayan de Oro are properly established, effectively implemented, and consistently maintained in accordance with the requirements of the applicable ISO standards. The absence of both minor and major Non-Conformities demonstrates the officeβs disciplined adherence to documented procedures, its proactive compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, and its culture of continuous improvement.
The audit also highlighted the active participation and strong support of Top Management, the Quality Management Representative, the Environmental Management System Committee, the Safety and Health Committee, and various operational units.
